Designed to insulate heat from
the riders pants and boots. One advantage to carbon fiber
is that it does not transfer heat to the degree that metal
does. There is also a weight savings as compared to most metals.
The carbon fiber composite heatshields sits about ¾”
off the pipe. Stainless steel brackets are provided for aftermarket
pipe applications. Heatshields used on stock header pipes
use stock tabs or brackets. A high temperature coating is
applied to rear side of the heatshields

Straight section (either 6”
or 8”) heatshields cover the section of the header closest
to the rider’s pants. This is the section of the header
pipe located above the footpeg. Mounts to all diameter headers
using stainless steel spacers.
Best way to determine which length (6” or 8”)
will best fit the specific application is to measure the straight
section of header pipe directly above the footpeg.
